Mr. Jai Shankar was the Trade Representative (MATRADE) in Frankfurt from 2012 to 2016. Together with Mr. Paramsothy Thamotharampillai-Göbela, he created an important platform for the exchange of ideas and information between Germans and Malaysians which can lead to greater bilateral trade between the two countries.
